Atlanteans are a 2 piece experimental improv band from Vancouver Canada featuring John Brennan (acoustic/electronic drums) and Bryce Janssens (guitar/synthesizer/voice/saxophone).
John Brennan continues in the tradition of free form drummers such as Chris Corsano, Paal Nilssen-Love, and Zach Hill. Brennan has toured extensively throughout Canada, Europe and Asia as a solo performer, as a member of numerous bands and as an improvising collaborator with such artists as William Hooker, Nate Wooley, DJ Olive, Wally Shoup, Drainolith among others. As well, Brennan curates the eclectic music concert series Destroy Vancouver.
Bryce Janssens puts a distance between himself and his history as a phycadelic pop/rock writer/producer while maintaining a songwriter’s sense of melody and cadence in an improvised form.
Atlanteans’ first self-titled self-released EP draws on their collective experience as sound recordists, improvisers, producers and sonic trippers to create a diverse 23 minutes of subtle streams and raging torrents of noise, whiskey-house blues, jazz, electro and garbage rock. Atlanteans are currently working on their first full-length record expected to be released mid 2015

SEC_ / MARIO GABOLA / SCOTT SINCLAIR (IT/AU)

SEC_ and Mario Gabola are from Naples, Italy, where they have built an extensive catalog of work under the Aspec(t) moniker. SEC_ plays Revox tape recorder, computer and no-input feedback manipulated on tape. Mario plays saxophone and feedbacks through an electro-acoustic chain of resonant drums, microphones and little speakers. Joining them is Australian-born Berlin resident Scott Sinclair (Company Fuck) who brings intermittent bursts of digital noise and twisted vocals. The result is a fascinating and inextricable forest of sounds: frenetic structures, noise explosions, ancestral cries, an unceasing perversion of the soundscape and the time stream. Taking cues from everything from radical improvised music to shitcore allows this combination to float comfortably between the stupid and the sublime. After semi-regularly performing and recording in Italy since 2012, this occasion marks the trio’s debut Berlin performance.

ESOC is love. Fidelity to descontrol. Improvisation, site specific.
ESOC smells like noise, art action, experimental music, video creations, smells like fish, mortadella, strawberries, glam, glam…
ESOC produce disinterested sounds, images, and experiences. Detach happiness and illness in the same proportion.
ESOC is experimental smokers of carxofa.
ESOC is urban dandruff, rural delirium
ESOC is love…experimental love.
No lived experience.
ESOC is in the dividing line (if there´s any dividing line in a rose ice cream) witch separates to be nothink from being everythink.
Insane syndrome related to the informative and uninformative overdose, the abundance of materialistic object, conceptual and theoretical.
ESOC is social opera, a camera rave.
ESOC is a guy with mustache and dressed as a Fallera. Spread mortadella. Fireworks, oranges and vegetable sandwiches with tuna and jam.
ESOC is the show of the century!

ESOC is an experimental open group formed by international artists. ESOC has played in almost 100 events, from rave to art galleries, performance events, institutions, street balconies…

ESOC has performed around Spain, Paris, Berlin…
The structure of the group always changes, creating a alive concept and alive group that evolves constantly adapting itself to the situations and conditions of the context where it performs.
ESOC work with improvisation electroacoustic music, video, happening, performance, paint, food, and has done many different concerts/actions.
ESOC is an unique experience each time you crash them, throwing an amazing amount of energy that shakes the audience.
ESOC is not easy to forget
ESOC is love!
