Kris Limbach and Scott Sinclair present Secret Shots – an exploration of expired formats in a search for sense between the frames. In this audiovisual performance, Limbach’s super8 manipulations mutate with Sinclair’s video glitchery to make a uniquely actual cinematic document existing neither on tape nor in data.
As a kind of visual incineration set to a machine-dictated soundtrack, Secret Shots portrays the surface appearance of cinema, however without identifiable characters or plot resolution. In their place are only lost transmissions and scratches in time.
