About the film:

Botborg is an international audio-visual performance group whose work centers around the real-time creation of intense experiences of sound-color synaesthesia. The ‘Photosonicneurokineasthograph’ (or PSNKG) is the name Botborg gives to the meta-instrument they use to conduct their audio-video experiments.

In “Connection to the Photosonicneurokineasthograph” the experienced operators of Kushima, Musgrove, and Sinclair guide the viewer through different extremes of Botborg’s audio-visual universe. Floating textures of incredible detail give way to harsh bursts of block color, with synchronized calming/jolting sounds in perfect unison with their ‘single signal’ concept. The final half of the film is a gradual build-up to a fierce climax of pulsing white light and stroboscopic color, which persists until bursting into a wash of lulling drone and slow-moving textures.
