About the film:

“Horsehead Blue” is a retro-futurist pop song by British composer and performer Antoni Maiovvi. Set against a backdrop of vintage synthesizers and drum machines, Maiovvi evokes the soundworlds of John Carpenter, Fabio Frizzi, Aphex Twin, and mid-period Kate Bush, whilst crooning horror-themed lyrics reminiscent of a Lovecraftian dream.

The music video, directed by Australian artist Scott Sinclair, is a distorted collage of classic pop video moments, expertly cut’n’pasted over the yearning poses of our troubled on-screen barfly, Antoni Maiovvi. A pastel pastiche of clashing bodies, parted lips, colored smoke, and glittering galaxies subtly move and collide in time with Maiovvi’s musical layering, before reaching a flickering climax of unified color and sound.
