In 1996 mfms took over the ABC radio studios in Sydney for a 4 hr multi-stage event that no one person could have seen or heard in its entirety. The audience was free to wander between the studios, control rooms and the massive Atrium where machinations were continuous for the 4 hrs. From this raw 'fester' comes the 'Consciousness' edit. The second piece on the CD, Collective is another live recording from the Performance Space, Sydney with the group paired back to its essential quartet.

chris mann, amanda stewart, jim denley, rik rue, stevie wishart with greg kingston, carolyn connors and tony buck.
