Electrofringe 2007 call for proposals
Electrofringe 2007 is now calling for proposals for this year's festival from artists, media makers, curators, researchers, writers, producers, enthusiasts... anyone really. Also we are calling for submissions of both online works and screen works for inclusion in this year's festival.

Cambull began playing in Toowomba almost 30 years ago in destroyed-noise-punk groups and has gone on to write his own chapter, in his very own book; which includes episodes on SBS television, Glastonbury Festival, JJJ and the entire East coast.

(unless your stick shaking skills are beyond compare, of course).
Here's a slightly edited version of the set I played at the recent gig at "Fair Laundrette" (or, as some would know it, my house) this weekend past. I probably played a little too long on the night, and could made my 'point' in 15 minutes better than the 20 odd i ended up playing for, and that's what you've got here.
Equipment used: tapes, vocals, percussion, electronics, turntable, radio.

This record may take a while for some listeners. What may at first seem like a disjointed collection of ramshackle sonic events will reveal its peculiar internal logic on repeated listens. This is a very strange and understated album, but one with deep rewards for the patient among us.
Sunshine Has Blown is the duo of Joel Stern and Adam Park aided by various sound carriers from Brisbane, Australia. Each piece was recorded live and titled after the venue at which they were recorded. The instrumentation is a mix of acoustic instruments (most notably the mbira) and unobtrusive electronics. Park's tape loops add pre-recorded elements to the mix which call to mind a more rustic version of Smegma.
