tv comes good!!! ready , SET, go!!!!

If you're at all like me, your tuesday evenings are usually a glamorous blur, as various celebrities desperatly try to get one's attention & curry one's favour by plying one with various drugs with acronymous names one can't even spell in various venues across the world one have to kill you if one told you about.  For the next few weeks, however, I'll be getting my curried favours home delivered, courtesy of Brendan Walls & the ABC, as the first installment of the new series "SET" goes to air.  Most of you will hopefully remember "Subsonics", which aired on SBS  a few years back.  This is by more or less the same crew, and is more or less a follow up, but has a more determinedly Australian focus, and wil focus on live performances by Australian experimental musicians.  The show will screen on tuesday nights, at 10pm on ABC tv.

here's a few words from the show's producer, Brendan Walls: "I would encourage everyone who is passionate about this stuff and has dreams of this show being a permanent fixture on ABC TV (that's right! there is serious talk about a second series for later this year... based on the success of this one) to watch, force others to watch and RING THE ABC AND TELL THEM THAT THIS IS THE GOLD AND WE NEED MORE! MORE! MORE! By success I don't mean big ratings etc. Success means a perceived need for this show as evident from an enthusiastic public. There are so many glaring over sights/ great people yet to be covered... it'd be a goddamned tragedy not to make more of these shows!"
