Audiopollen social club #11

wow, last week at apsc was mightily freaked out  with the whole audience joining in for TAD orchestra and Ragtime Frankie  delivering perhaps the most scorching performance of primitive/no-wave blues  ever seen in this town...   stay tuned to www.halftheory.com/audiopollen for  mp3 recordings and photos of sets from apsc.

Erik  Griswold

oddball composer, ragtime  prepared pianist, dada-cabaretist, toy instrumentalist, PhD in music, Dr.  Griswold makes his APSC debut. Can he resurrect the terminally out of tune  Forest piano? only time will tell.

Elliott Dalgleish  Solo

APSC welcomes a goddamm  certified National Jazz Award winner (in 1995), a gifted improvising  saxophonist/clarinetist who performs with the Australian Art Orchestra. What is  he doing slumming it with a bunch of clam-fisted noisemakers in a vegan  cafe??

Joel Stern and Lloyd  Barrett

new electro-acoustic collab by  APSC board members featuring an array of innocuous rattlers and shakers, loose  strings, blowtubes, microphonics, and grunting.

Alps of NSW and  friends

Chris Hearn (of NSW) loves  analogue organs and keyboards, homemade electronics, cassette tape, basic drum  machines, percussion, xylophone, guitar, minimalism, improvisation. Doesn't love  samplers, sequencers, laptops, or loop pedals. Whatever, his music is beautiful,  intimate, uncompromising and intense.

Tadaki Koyano gets better and  better, stranger and stranger, each week. He is the world record holder for  number of appearances at APSC and they have all been GOLD. Even the crap  ones...cult of TAD, cult of TAD....
