To a majority of people music is a form of language; particular sounds are meant to represent different emotions, have particular meanings etc. and are thus used by corporate entities to promote their products and shape peoples opinions about various issues. I believe this to be a perversion and seek to reclaim the real value of music by appropriating the various syntactical elements of this 'language' and by the use of techniques such as cutting-up, effects and mixing return music to its true meaningful state, as noise.
