Cameron Street's 10 years of playing bass have developed some, "B.G.B.T", Bass Guitar Barstardizing Techniques, which include using, hair rollers, tuningforks, shakers, squeeze toys, cymbals. ect. used phisically through the bass live, not requiring microphones. Some of these sounds were displayed on his debut "Out Of The Earth" CD, 2000 - a spontaneous looping excursion which lay in the Obscure Relaxation Music category. "My solo bass project can involve quite a few directions depending on the audience, the theme of the evening, what i am allowed to play, and how loud i'm allowed to play it. It's always an interesting set. As a Bass Artist with many influences, creating Alien Ambient Loopoid Textures, it is sometimes tough to know which direction to take, whether to be musical, or pure experimental. Would an experimental audience enjoy a melody from a bass? To create ambient textures and play melodies? This is what i wish to find out at Small Black Box." Cameron Street has over 30 years absorbed the sounds and feelings of peoples music from everywhere is resently culminated in performing solo instrumental six string guitar music and Bass workshop at the Australian Academy Of Music, a series of demonstrations based on the theme of 'Experimental Bass Techiques'. "I've collaborated my experience of performing drums at an early age, marching on anzac day to playing in punk bands into an interesting foundation of experimental bass playing."
