Simulation are a live electronic music performance group made up of students
of the QUT Faculty of Creative Industries. Their series of performances at the October Small Black Box will feature the use and abuse of digital sound media, DIY performance interfaces, live electronic manipulations and garden matter.

electronic manipulations of natural sound objects in a provocative electroacoustic performance.

Drew Carter (guitars), Dale Hembrow (Max/MSP, mixage), Tarin Stewart
(synthesisers), Benn Woods (Max/MSP, controller construction) and Carly
Tennant (vocals) blend lyricism and nastiness, then revel in the curdling
sonic mass.

Yanto Browning (mixage), Matt Weimers (sonic construction), Gerard del
Favero (auto-harp) and Amelia Dowe (piano accordion) perform an improvised
sonic petition against the United Nations decision to ban the piano accordion as a violation of the Geneva Convention.

Lorraine Lie (radios), Aaron Nebauer (radios) and Chris Wilson (radios) capture airborne sonic sculptures with their ambient composition Out of Cage.
